(8)14. Stop Signs

1. The driver of any vehicle approaching a stop sign or a pavement marking of “STOP” at the entrance to, or within, an intersection shall stop at a limit line, if marked, otherwise before entering the crosswalk, the driver shall stop at the entrance to the intersection roadway.

Violations of Penal Code (8)14 is an infraction punishable by a $200 fine
